Dealing With Anger

Anger is a natural and necessary part of our human existence. It derives from the part of our brain called the limbic system which essentially is primed on maximizing our survival probability. Though society has tried to abolish and outlaw it, the fact still remains that there are good and appropriate times to get angry.

The problem comes because what does anger really get you? Sure, there are scientific journals that state the release of anger is actually beneficial in lowering cortisol response, bring you back to homeostasis. But unless you can control the situation, your anger, no matter how justified it may be is worthless. At some point you face the inevitability that you need to let things go and move on with your life.

This is not easy though when your economic, political. And social environment negatively affects your personal life. But the consequences of harnessing your anger will prevent the detriment of your life. What we call “angry people” have let it take over their personality preventing them from ever enjoying happiness.

The reason for their unhappiness is because they failed to win the battles outside of their control. They failed to accept the biological realities that separate them from others. AND Instead they play a comparison game with others around them which takes their joy away.
